Certain Sunnah prayers have prescribed waqts associated with
them. Those ordered before each of the Fard prayers must be made between the
first call to prayer (adhan) and the second call (iqama), which means the
beginning of the Fard sentence. The sunnah ordered for after the Fard prayers
can be performed at any time between the end of the Fard prayers, and at the
end of the current waqt prayer. Any amount of raka'ah extras may be offered,
but most madha'ib prescribe a certain number of raka'ah for each Sunna Salat.
Sunnah salat (Arabic: صلاة السنة) are optional prayers that
can be performed by Muslims at almost any time of the day. These prayers are
made, in addition to the five daily prayers, which are obligatory for all
Muslims. A series of sentences are available: some are done at the same time,
such as obligatory prayers, some are done only at certain times, for example,
late at night, and some are done only for specific occasions, such as during a
drought. All these optional prayers were initially carried out by Muhammad.
