The five daily prayers
The Sunni Muslims also perform two raka'ah nafl (voluntary)
after the Dhuhr and the prayers of the Maghrib. During the Isha'a prayer, they
perform the two raka'ah nafl after the two-Sunna mu'akkadah and after the Witr
prayer.
1 According to the Shiite Muslims, these will be carried out
in groups of two raka'ah each, this is not the case of the Sunni Muslims.
2 According to the Sunni Muslims, from the Sunna Raka'ah
there is a difference between the Sunna-mu'akkadah (obligatory) and the
Sunna-Ghair-mu'akkadah (voluntary). The Sunna-mu'akkadah was prayed every day
by Muhammad. This was not the case with the Sunna-Ghair-mu'akkadah.
3 mustahab (praiseworthy) to do every day. (Shia)
4 Replaced by Yumu'ah on Fridays, consisting of two raka'ah.
5 According to Imam Abu Hanifa, "Asr begins when the
shadow of an object becomes twice its height (plus the length of its shadow at
the start time of Dhuhr)." For the rest of the magnets, "Asr begins
when the shadow of an object is equal to its length (plus the length of its
shadow at the start time of Dhuhr)." Asr ends when the sun begins to set.
6 According to the Shia Muslims, the prayer of 'Asr and the
prayer of' Isha do not have established hours, but they are carried out from
noon. Duhr and 'Asr prayers must be performed before sunset, and the time for
the prayer of' Asr begins after Duhr has been performed. Maghreb and Isha
prayers must be performed before midnight, and the time for the 'Isha prayer
may begin after the Maghrib has taken place, as long as there is no more light
left in the western sky which means the arrival of the real night
7 According to the Shiite Muslims, this prayer is called
nawafil.
